Brittanie is a Wilmington native, receiving both her bachelor’s in psychology and master’s of social work at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She uses a client-centered approach, tailoring therapy to the specific needs of each individual. Brittanie views therapy as a collaborative process between therapist and client that is established by providing a nonjudgmental supportive environment for clients to explore thoughts, feelings, and beliefs, and take steps towards making positive change. Brittanie is a trauma-informed therapist, having obtained certifications as a level II Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and in religious trauma studies. Brittanie specializes in treating religious trauma, C-PTSD, self-injury, anxiety, and depression, using a variety of treatment modalities, including internal family systems theory, cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution-focused, and acceptance and commitment therapy. Brittanie is listed as a religious trauma therapist through the Secular Therapy Project and The Reclamation Collective. She is also a NC board-approved supervisor for LCSW-associates.
